Welcome to Coeurageous

In early 2018, I started this blog to address an issue I was increasingly seeing in my medical practice. More and more of my patients complained of anxiety. Their anxiety led to worry and worry led to fear. This pervasive fear resulted in paralysis-an inability to move forward in life. This fear affected every aspect of their being-mental, physical and spiritual. If my patients suffered from severe anxiety, I knew others in society felt the same. I wanted to help in some way. Thus Coeurageous was born to inspire my readers to move from fear to courage. Click here to read my first post.

While you may think, “She spelled courageous incorrectly.” I did this on purpose. Coeur is French for heart. Courage is an act of the heart and a gift from God. In all my writing, I take inspiration from God’s word to Joshua.

Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.

Joshua 1:9

Your world may be falling apart right now and anxiety overwhelming you with a tidal wave of fear. Hang on. The Lord is with you. Even though you can’t see Him, His Spirit uplifts you. As you’re reading these words, He’s offering you His strength to get through whatever difficulty you’re facing. Ask Jesus to help.

Through these pages, I hope you find encouragement. If you feel your burdens lightened, then I’ve accomplished my goal. I’m not perfect. Far from it. I’ve been blessed but I’ve also suffered my share of setbacks and grief. In spite of it all, I choose to move forward in courage with God’s help. I want to help you do the same.

Coeurageous is moved by the heart to live and act fearlessly.
