Letters Out of Africa was written to tell the amazing story of my friend, Shadrach Gonqueh’s journey through a civil war in Liberia and then coming to America as a refugee to be trained as a doctor. It is a story of courage and perseverance in the face of severe adversity. But more, it is the story of God working through ordinary people to accomplish an extraordinary outcome.
